What must Florentino Pérez think of the 2-6?

BarcelonaGoals were falling at the Alfredo Di Stéfano stadium. In the end, there were six. Six blows to Madrid's morale, six blows to their blossoming line, six death knells for a project that isn't taking off. Years go by and Real Madrid cannot harm Barça Femení. Sometimes it seems to be getting close, but an important match arrives and we see the result. And what was the reaction of the white fans? Nothing. The four indignant ones on social media, who are usually those who live permanently indignant, and little else. No scolding, no whistling, no great dramas.

Does Real Madrid care about women's football? A minority of loyal fans, I suppose so, but it's a project without foundations. Who knows for what reason Florentino Pérez must have created it a few years ago. I suppose due to pressure from the authorities, whether it be the Federation or the government, as it was an eyesore to see how all the big European clubs looked after women's football and Madrid, not. Very symptomatic of the way of doing things of gentlemen who rule football and who have discovered that, outwardly, they have to pretend to believe in equality, when in reality they remain the same chauvinists of the 90s. What must Florentino think of this match? I don't think it keeps him up at night. It must annoy him and he must think he could invest the money in something else. Real Madrid does not believe in one of its teams.

And this one keeps losing games, without winning titles, without any serious consequences. Barça and Madrid always need each other, they eye each other suspiciously, they rivalize. And if in the case of the men's team it's a well-matched rivalry, in the women's case it's not. This game of mirrors, analyzing how the white club works, also allows us to appreciate what has been achieved in Barcelona. Being able to normally sell more than 30,000 tickets for the return match, more than any other European club; having stable coverage of league matches, a project that plays by heart and a youth academy that works, and that allows Serrajordi to play a magnificent match in the Champions League. Comparing the two clubs, it seems that in Barcelona we are in the future. Where we can debate transfer policy, tactics, and playing style. That's why Barça can aspire to the Champions League, to a league where most clubs still live in the past. May the 2-6, in addition to showing how things are going at Madrid, serve to appreciate what we have here.
