The most difficult suitcase of the Barça coach: the ARA's Instant Replay
Sekulic's team closes with a defeat a demanding week of three games away from home
BarcelonaAfter the good feelings from Friday, Barça closed a demanding week of three away games with a defeat on the court of UCAM Murcia (100-94). The home team, a very uncomfortable rival since Sito Alonso has been the coach, proposed a very tough game. The Culé players, many of whom were making their debut at the Palacio de Deportes, could not breathe at any moment. Juani Marcos added 8 points and 5 assists with a scent of revenge.
Odyssey without reward
FIATC Girona lost in a very painful way on the court of Kosner Baskonia (118-78). The Basque efficiency from the three-point line was decisive. The trip was an odyssey. After the flight cancellation due to the storm, the Girona expedition arrived at dawn in Zaragoza, where they spent the night, and continued the journey by road to Vitoria. The match was delayed by one hour.
Painful anniversary at Barris Nord
A disconcerting final stretch of the game prevented Ilerna Lleida from winning against Recoletas Salud San Pablo Burgos on the 25th anniversary of Barris Nord (81-94). The 38 points conceded in the last quarter were a heavy burden, and the final minute left Gerard Encuentra in despair. "It has been an embarrassment on our part. We disconnected and stopped competing. Some players gave up," the coach opined.
A "shitty" premiere
Kids&Us Manresa could not secure a victory in their debut at Nou Congost, as they fell to Río Breogán (95-101). "Our defense was not up to the standard that the ACB demands. I understand that the fans, who had gone three or four months without seeing basketball, see this crap and get discouraged," lamented Diego Ocampo. The match between Asisa Joventut and MoraBanc Andorra was postponed to Wednesday the 14th.
