The "cross-cutting alternative" that aims to oust Joan Laporta has been presented.

Víctor Font leads a large group of Barça supporters that includes former trusted officials of the current Barça president.

BarcelonaVictor Font, second most voted candidate in the 2021 Barça elections With nearly 17,000 supporters, he intends to face Joan Laporta again at the polls. The businessman from Vallès is the main figurehead of Nosotros (Us), a movement that aims to unite Barcelona fans "who share the need to move beyond personal agendas, reconnect the club with its members, and, at the same time, modernize and professionalize the institution." The presentation of this initiative brought together more than a thousand people from various corners of the Barcelona family at the Fira de Barcelona, all of whom believe it is necessary to "open a new chapter for the club." The groups Seguimiento FCB, Dignitat Blaugrana, and Suma Barça have joined the Sí al Futuro (Yes to the Future) candidacy, along with the World Confederation of Supporters' Clubs. For their part, founding groups of the Supporters' Space, such as Almogàvers, through their president, Albert Yarza, also participated in Monday's presentation. However, other members critical of Laporta who aspire to the Barça presidency, such as Marc Ciria, Joan Camprubí Montal, and Xavier Vilajoana, are for now remaining outside this nascent cross-party candidacy.

"This project goes far beyond Víctor Font's project. Barça has two paths right now, and only one is honestly right. There's the personalistic path, flashy, entertaining, and often shameful. It's the path of me and only me. And then there's the path of those who listen and plan, those who hide nothing and don't seek personal gain, joining those who currently follow them on stage. The man from Granollers didn't mention Laporta directly in his presentation.

From Jaume Guardiola to members of Pep Guardiola's staff

The event, enlivened by two live songs performed by Suu and a series of interviews with various Barça fans, was attended by prominent figures from the Catalan business community, such as Jaume Guardiola, former CEO of Banc Sabadell and former president of the club's economic committee during Laporta's first term; Eloi Planes, president of Fluidra; and Xavier Pujol, CEO of Ficosa. Font also brought along trusted members of the current board who have left the club due to management disagreements. This group includes former Espai Barça executive director Àlex Barbany, former head of security Ferran López, and former head of technology Juanma Tabero.

However, far more striking was seeing Xavi Hernández, the current Barça coach, at a pre-election event supporting Font for the first time, after not clearly endorsing him in the 2021 elections. The Terrassa native, without a team since being dismissed by Laporta in the spring of 2014, has now taken a stand. However, he left the venue without making any public statement.

Former board members Toni Rovira and Evarist Murtra, both of whom served during Laporta's first term, have also expressed their support. Amador Bernabéu and Gabriel Masfurroll, former board members under Josep Lluís Núñez and Joan Gaspart, as well as former staff members who worked for many years with Pep Guardiola, such as the physiotherapist brothers Francesc and Miquel Àngel Cos and the analyst and technician Carles Planchart, were present.
