SabadellSabadell continues living a fairytale in its return to the Second Division, after defeating Córdoba 3-2 thanks to a penalty goal by its captain, Albert Orriols, in the final minutes. The arlequinat team now has eight points and occupies a surprising third position. The match, played just on the day the city's main festival in the Vallès region ended, was electric and had a lot of plot twists. In the end, the joy remained at a Nova Creu Alta where they rub their eyes at a team that, having the fourth most modest budget, is currently standing up to the giants of the category.

In front of a Nova Creu Alta that once again experienced a festive atmosphere with more than 9,000 fans, Sabadell started very strongly. By the 20th minute, they were already leading 2-0 thanks to two goals from Nico. The first came after a great recovery by Quadri in the middle of the pitch, who stole the ball from the opponents and entered the box all alone. Shortly after, the Osona native Urri invented a beautiful assist for Nico, but the referee blew for an offside that did not exist. After consulting the VAR, the officials validated the second goal.

Córdoba reacted with an action in which the VAR stepped in to assess whether a red card should be shown to Edgar, but in reality, it wasn't even a foul. Shortly after, however, Fuoli committed a clear penalty that allowed the visitors to score the first goal. Córdoba, who had defeated Girona on the first matchday, carried the weight of the game in the second half, but without managing to hurt a Sabadell side that missed many opportunities. Joel Priego and Miki Codina, tireless, pushed the Catalan team, where Baena made his debut, the player from Santa Coloma who until now was playing in Poland. But tired legs eventually showed, and Diego Fuoli was forced to make two saves of merit. Finally, Sabadell received a heavy blow when, 10 minutes from the end of the match, Fernández equalized. It seemed that Sabadell was already running low on energy, but in the final minutes, the home team did not stop looking for the winning goal, and they found it on a penalty where the referee needed the VAR to see a handball. Urri, without getting nervous, scored the goal that allows Sabadell to continue living on cloud nine: they do not know defeat, they have won both League matches at home, and they have also lifted the Copa Catalunya.
