BarcelonaAfter the fight between Tchoumeni and Valverde that ended with the Uruguayan footballer in the hospital, some players approached Álvaro Arbeloa to recommend that he cancel Friday's training session in Valdebebas. But the Real Madrid coach, still surprised by what had just happened in the locker room, decided to stick to the planned schedule.

Real Madrid is experiencing an unprecedented sporting crisis, as to the poor results on the field, extreme tension has been added in the locker room, with an exchange of reproaches and footballers ending up fighting. Fights in training sessions can be considered normal, but it is not normal for discussions not only to drag on but to end as the incident between Tchouameni and Valverde did.

José Ángel Sánchez, right-hand man of president Florentino Pérez, urgently went to the sports city on Thursday, where he convened a crisis summit with the heavyweights of the locker room to analyze the situation. The first consequence was the opening of a disciplinary file on the two footballers that, according to media that regularly follow Real Madrid's news, will result in an exemplary financial sanction.

The internal disciplinary code of the Madrid club contemplates that, in exceptional cases like this, a suspension of salary and employment could be applied, which would entail not playing for some matches. However, Florentino's intention is not to apply this footballing fine and to leave it all as a monetary punishment. For now, the figures have not transpired, but speculation points to an amount that could be in the millions.

Tchouameni could finally play in the classic

This way, Tchouameni will be able to be on the Camp Nou pitch on Sunday, in a classic that, to top it all off, could end with the League title for Barça -the blaugranas have enough by winning or drawing-. On the other hand, Valverde will not be there, since according to the protocol for concussion cases, it entails not playing for 10 to 14 days. According to the published information, Valverde had to go to the hospital to receive stitches and left the locker room in a wheelchair, visibly dizzy.

From here on, and depending on how this Friday's training session goes, Real Madrid will have to decide whether to stick to the planned travel itinerary or modify it. Initially, the Whites - without the president, who will not be traveling - had planned to fly to Barcelona on Saturday afternoon, but they might do so on Sunday itself, match day. On the other hand, it is not clear whether Arbeloa will hold the pre-match press conference. The coach is obliged to do so according to La Liga regulations, although the club is considering skipping it and accepting the corresponding fine.
