Dark league celebration at the Johan Cruyff
Barça thrashes Levante, with a brace from Claudia Pina, but loses two players to injury
San Juan DespíThe Johan Cruyff became the celebration point for Barcelonismo. After the tension experienced in the tie – with a happy ending – against Bayern Munich, the "azulgranas" were able to celebrate the League – and qualification for the final in Oslo – with their people. It was a working Wednesday afternoon and getting to the Johan with family from Barcelona was not an easy task. Be that as it may, Pere Romeu's team did not have to make great efforts to overcome a Levante (5-0) that certified their relegation to the Primera Federación (second division).
The club prepared a party, with activities for the public, the special t-shirt with the logo of the singer Olivia Rodrigo –who has songs like Vampires, Drop Dead or Drivers License–, and the awarding of the league title to Femenino B, Femenino C, the Juniors, and, of course, the first team. There was also celebration on the pitch. With minutes for the less-starting players, like Martine Fenger or Adriana, Vicky López was in charge of opening the scoring with a golazo from outside the box. Despite the league being won, Barça's "vampires" wanted to continue adding three points at a time.
With the Champions League final in Oslo on the horizon, Barça came out to play very relaxed. Aïcha caused complications for Cata Coll with a rebound that forced the Balearic goalkeeper to stretch to prevent Levante's goal. Pere Romeu's team was globally superior and reflected it on the scoreboard. Claudia Pina, with a brace, scored again seven games later. The footballer from Montcada i Reixac had not scored since March 21 against Athletic Club, but she continues to be the top scorer in Liga F with nineteen goals, three more than Ewa Pajor.
Double injury two weeks before Oslo
Aitana Bonmatí came on at halftime to continue gaining match fitness after the injury that had kept her away from the pitch for five months. Carla Julià and Sydney Schertenleib completed the rout, while the fan section took advantage of the match to ask Mapi León to stay at Barça. The Aragonese footballer will bring an end to nine seasons as an azulgrana on June 30. There were also chants in favor of Alexia Putellas, who still has to decide whether to renew or not.
But not all news was good. Aïcha Camara felt a twinge in the back of her right leg and had to leave the field, leaving Barça with ten players for the last fifteen minutes. As if that weren't enough, before the match the club announced that Graham Hansen suffered a thigh adductor injury against Bayern. The Norwegian will follow a recovery plan to be able to play in the Champions League final, which will be held in Oslo, her hometown.
