Barça increases season tickets by up to 34% with five fewer games

The pass will be valid for matches at Montjuïc and will be valid when the Camp Nou reopens later this season.

BarcelonaAfter announcing that The stay in Montjuïc will be longer than expected, Barça has activated the machinery to sell season tickets for the entire season. The club has taken precautions and devised a model that allows for playing at both Lluís Companys and Camp Nou, once the doors of the Barça stadium can reopen. The difference is in the price, as season tickets will increase between 10% and 34% compared to last season... but with five fewer games.

For Barça season ticket holders, watching football at the stadium will cost between €420 and €1,092. These figures are significantly more expensive compared to the previous season, when going to Montjuïc ended up costing between €372 and €898—including the initial payment and subsequent extensions, as Camp Nou was still closed. The decision has raised some controversy among fans, although the club excuses itself by saying it needs to compensate for the financial losses of exile and also that prices are beginning to be adjusted in anticipation of the return to the Les Corts neighborhood.

Last season, two sales processes took place, one for Montjuïc and another for Camp Nou, although the Barça stadium ultimately couldn't open due to construction delays. This time, the sale process has been unified, so season ticket holders had to choose between the first and second tier, with the corresponding price increase, as higher tier seating is considered to be more premium. Thus, the cheapest seat, Goal 1 (1st tier), is €420, 13% more than a year ago. The most expensive is Stand 2 (2nd tier), at €1,092 and a 22% increase, although the highest percentage increase is for Side 2, which will now cost €693, 34% more than the previous €516. On the other hand, Stand 1 has seen the least increase (€987 and +10%). The other seats are Goal 2 (€462 and +24%), Corner 1 (€525 and +13%), Corner 2 (€567 and +22%), and Side 1 (€630 and +22%).

There are five matches left on the season ticket.

These prices include all official home matches Barça will play from now until the end of the season. However, it's important to note that five matches are still missing: the two at the Johann Cruyff Stadium (Valencia and Getafe), the two already played at Montjuïc (Real Sociedad and PSG), and the Champions League match against Olympiacos, which was sold separately. Therefore, in percentage terms, the increase is even higher.

The sales process was activated this Thursday at noon, and the club is offering the option of paying for the season ticket all at once or in installments. During the first 24 hours, season ticket holders who purchased the full pass for Montjuïc in the previous two seasons will have priority. Afterwards, the sale will be open to season ticket holders on leave and members. In the statement, Barça emphasized that the Seient Lliure (Free Stadium) is suspended until the Camp Nou returns to full capacity, and that those who purchase a pass must confirm their attendance at each match a few days in advance. Tickets will be personal, although they can be transferred free of charge to another person by notifying the club in advance.
