Barça get a scandalous win to start a very demanding March
Pere Romeu's team decided the match in the first half in a match in which rotations were made with the Cup in mind
BarcelonaBarça have started this demanding March in which they will have to play a lot of games in top form. Pere Romeu's team won a spectacular 1-8 at Eibar in the first game of this March, in which they will have to play the semi-finals of the Cup against Real Madrid and the quarter-finals of the Champions League against Wolfsburg. It is the second time that Barça has scored eight goals in the F League this season, a competition in which they scored 10 against Granada in the first round.
Barça have been able to rotate and distribute efforts. In fact, the goals were also scored by many players. Salma Paralluelo has scored two, while the others were scored by Ewa Pajor, Graham Hansen, Vicky López, Patri Guijarro, Ona Batlle and Claudia Pina. Gemma Font played in goal, while Jana and Marta came on in defence. In front of them were the youngsters Vicky López and Sydney Schertenleib. The young Swiss, by the way, was making her debut as a starter in the League at the age of 18.
Salma connected with Pajor after three minutes to overcome the high defence of an Eibar team that tried to be brave, and came out scalded. The Basques, with an open approach, were close to the equaliser, but when Graham Hansen scored Barça's second after half an hour, their resistance ended. Before the break, Vicky López scored the third in a play started by Esmee Brugts. In the second half, Eibar came alive and scored their goal, but Barça made things clear with the fourth goal shortly after thanks to Patri Guijarro. The goals kept coming, with a great chip from Salma or a good play from Ona Batlle. Paralluelo had time to score a second goal and Clàudia Pina completed the rout.
Espanyol and Levante Badalona draw
In the other matches of the day, Espanyol drew at home with Deportivo de A Coruña (1-1) and remains outside the relegation zone. Julia Guerra scored first, but in the last minutes Lara scored the equaliser for the Galicians. Levante Badalona took a point from their visit to Tenerife thanks to a goal from Estefanía Banini in the first half (1-1).
