All sports activities are suspended in the regions affected by the storm
The Sabadell match is postponed and neither is played that of the Joventut of the Endesa Basketball League
BarcelonaThe storm arriving in Catalonia has caused the suspension of sports activities and "those that involve travel to the regions affected by the Inuncat plan due to the intensity and risk of rain accumulation on the coast and the pre-coastal area", as reported by the Generalitat. The Second Division match between Sabadell and Andorra, scheduled for 6:30 PM, is one of the affected events. After hours of talks, the League has finally agreed to postpone the match after speaking with both parties. The match will be played, pending official confirmation, this Sunday at 9 PM, coinciding with the Girona match. The Girona team plays at 9 PM against Mallorca, a match that is currently still going ahead. Another affected football match is the Primera RFEF game between Sant Andreu and Antequera, scheduled for 8 PM at the Can Dragó field. The match will be played this Sunday at 5:30 PM.
One of the highlights of Sunday's schedule will be the match between Barça and Madrid in the Liga F at the Camp Nou. The blue and red club has asked to postpone the match from 5 PM to 7 PM, but for the moment the schedule remains as planned.
The suspension of the Liga Endesa match between Joventut de Badalona and MoraBanc has also been confirmed. The new time for the match will be Wednesday, October 14th at 8 PM. On the other hand, the Kids&Manresa match against Rio Bregán at 9 PM has not been suspended, as the capital of Bages is not within the affected area.
One of the numerous suspended activities is the European Open Water Swimming Cup event, which was to be held this Saturday at the port of Barcelona. The event, which was also to be the 9th edition of the Ciutat de Barcelona International Trophy, was to take place at the Moll de Bosch i Alsina starting at 12:00 PM over the Olympic distance of 10 kilometers, with the participation of about 60 swimmers from eleven countries.
The forecast of adverse weather conditions has also modified the schedule of the CSIO Barcelona, the equestrian jumping tournament, which has decided to preventively modify the program planned for this Saturday and Sunday at the Reial Club de Polo de Barcelona.
