Silver plans: Baix Llobregat, at another pace

The Baix Llobregat is among the preferred destinations for families and now aims to make a place for itself among the senior public as well with Silver Plans, the new program promoted by the Baix Llobregat Tourism Consortium. An initiative designed for a generation that has time, curiosity, and a great desire to continue discovering and enjoying new experiences.

The proposal opens a new stage in the tourism strategy of the Baix Llobregat and focuses on a visitor looking to enjoy quality activities adapted to their interests and their pace. After being a pioneer in the creation of a specific offer for family tourism, the region is once again broadening its horizons with an initiative that aims to also turn it into a reference destination for the senior public.

The new commitment is born under the motto "Your moment is now. Your place is the Baix Llobregat" and focuses on a generation that is increasingly active and eager to enjoy their time. Silver Plans wants to break stereotypes and reclaim this vital stage as a moment full of possibilities, connecting their interests with everything the region has to offer.

Culture, nature, and gastronomy

The experiences offered combine culture, heritage, gastronomy, and nature. The Baix Llobregat has devised a series of packs themed to be enjoyed especially during the week or outside of high season. The portal offers all the practical information necessary to plan each proposal with peace of mind: route, distance, elevation gain, rest areas, availability of nearby parking, and additional information. Everything is explained clearly so that each visitor can assess whether the activity meets their needs and preferences.

Among the proposals that are already part of the Silver Plans are visits to iconic spaces such as Catalunya en Miniatura, the Colònia Güell, the Archaeological Park and the Anti-Aircraft Shelter of Gavà, the Museums of Esplugues, the Jujol–Can Negre Center, the Water Museum, the Museums of Martorell, the Colònia Sedó, or the Viladecans Museum.

The offer is complemented by gastronomy and wine tourism experiences such as Blanxart and a tasting of their chocolates or the Celler Ramon Canals, with a visit to their museum and a tasting of three wines. Visits to unique industrial spaces such as the Estrella Damm Factory in El Prat de Llobregat and itineraries in such extraordinary environments as the Natural Spaces of the Llobregat Delta, the Montserrat Caves, or the Castelldefels Castle are other points of interest.

More active proposals are also incorporated, such as nordic walking sessions through the natural spaces of the Llobregat delta and guided routes that invite you to discover the territory at a different pace. There is no shortage of more unique experiences, such as a proposal that combines wine, art, and a floral workshop in Sant Esteve Sesrovires.
