Mediterranean Gluten Free Forum 2025 makes Barcelona the European capital of gluten-free food
On May 31 and June 1, the Textile Pavilion at the Fira de Barcelona will host the largest meeting in southern Europe on celiac disease and gluten-free cooking.

The future of food is gluten-free cuisine, according to the Mediterranean Gluten Free Forum. That's why, on May 31st—from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.—and June 1st—from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.—the forum will transform the iconic Textile Pavilion at Fira de Barcelona into the European epicenter of the gluten-free community with the event Mediterranean Gluten Free Forum, the leading trade fair for people with celiac disease, gluten sensitivity, and all those interested in inclusive and safe food, such as hospitality, food, and healthcare professionals.
The forum was founded in 2023 with the aim of positioning Barcelona as the European capital of gluten-free products and food, a showcase and unique meeting point for people with celiac disease and non-celiac gluten sensitivity. In just two years, the Mediterranean Gluten Free Forum has welcomed more than 8,000 attendees in each edition and has become an essential event for professionals, patients, families, and lovers of good food. This year's edition follows the first edition in 2023 and the second in 2024, and will be held in a unique, accessible, and central setting, with more space—more than 3,000 square meters—more activities, more flavor, and a program designed for all audiences.
Health, gastronomy, and community: the three axes of the experiential fair
The forum, organized by Fira Àpat together with the support of the Association of Celiacs of Catalonia and the support of leading companies in the sector, will bring together more than 10,000 attendees in two intense days of informative activities, live cooking, family workshops, tastings and networkingThe Textile Pavilion will showcase products, recipes, beverages, and trends of great interest to people with gluten-related conditions and their families.

With more than 30 scheduled activities, Mediterranean Gluten Free Forum 2025 will offer talks, showcookings, wine tastings, panel discussions, and workshops led by experts in digestive health, nutrition, psychology, sports, and gluten-free cooking.
High-end gastronomy
Regarding gastronomy, the forum will feature a gourmet restaurant area for the first time, where five renowned establishments will offer exclusive gluten-free dishes during the two days of the fair. Each restaurant will prepare two dishes for 7 euros, which will be available on Saturday for lunch and dinner, and on Sunday for lunch. The five restaurants are 100% gluten-free. gluten free They are Greta, an emotional signature cuisine; M2 Gluten Free, an inclusive gluten- and lactose-free cuisine; Generation B, a fast-food restaurant; Aruku, a 100% gluten-free Asian fusion; and Indi Chennai, a South Indian cuisine.

And with the aim of consolidating the Mediterranean Gluten Free Forum's vocation as an inclusive event, the fair will feature two children's areas—one indoor and one outdoor—with fun workshops, themed games, cooking for children, and educational activities.
