Family activities, visits to exhibitions and excursions into nature: the proposals for Christmas
Unwinding amidst the natural beauty of the Pyrenees and the Ebro Delta, cultural getaways, and discovering La Pedrera to find the hidden Christmas log are some of the activities offered by the Catalunya La Pedrera Foundation to enjoy the magic of Christmas as a family.
The Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera offers a wide range of activities for families to enjoy during the Christmas holidays. Options range from discovering every corner of the iconic building designed by Antoni Gaudí through a scavenger hunt for the Tió de Nadal (Christmas Log), to activities in the natural beauty of the Ebro Delta and the Pyrenees, and a visit to Mundo San Benito to enjoy new offerings such as Operation Castaween or other tours. TicketsA collection of around thirty works by the Basque artist Cristina Iglesias.
A tour of La Pedrera in search of the Tió de Nadal
This Christmas, magic arrives in a very special way at La Pedrera. The Tió de Nadal (Christmas Log) has been spotted in the most unexpected corners of Gaudí's house, hiding among undulating columns, modernist windows, and rooftops adorned with chimneys shaped like warriors. La Pedrera invites families to become true Tió hunters to find the Tió de Nadal. Through a route full of clues, riddles, and surprises, children can discover the building's most magical spaces while following the trail of the log.
This activity is a fun and original way to experience the Catalan tradition of the Tió de Nadal (Christmas Log) in a unique setting, combining culture, architecture, and play. Children will learn fascinating facts about Gaudí and his creative universe while embarking on a Christmas adventure filled with camaraderie and smiles. Each clue solved will bring them a little closer to their ultimate goal: finding the hidden Tió de Nadal to awaken it and make it start preparing the gifts and magical Tió logs for every home in the city.
An experience designed to be enjoyed as a family, from which you will discover La Pedrera through the eyes of children, letting them be carried away by the spirit of Christmas.

Dialogue between Gaudí's past and the art of Cristina Iglesias
Another proposal from the Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera is to immerse yourself in a unique experience that combines a visit to the emblematic modernist building designed by Antoni Gaudí with the exhibition Tickets by Cristina Iglesias, the first major monographic exhibition of the artist in Barcelona. Tickets It displays more than thirty works, dating from 2002 to the present, and traces a dynamic journey that unfolds as a sequence of movements through the fluid spaces of Gaudí's architecture and the closed and open spaces of Iglesias' work.
Drawing on a repertoire that blends imagined and natural forces, her works range from suspended pavilions and latticework to corridors, labyrinths, and walls infused with text, as well as graphic works and drawings on diverse materials. Cristina Iglesias's pieces transform space, inviting visitors to perceive shifting forms, textures, and perspectives, while rediscovering Gaudí's universe through a fresh lens. This is an exceptional opportunity to embark on a sensory journey that combines architecture and sculpture, offering a fascinating dialogue between Gaudí's past and contemporary art.

Operation Castaween and Operation Three Kings Day, the proposals of Món Sant Benet
This Christmas, Operation Three Kings returns to Món Sant Benet, an activity that combines a scavenger hunt through the Sant Benet monastery with making wafer rolls. Legend has it that over a thousand years ago, the Three Wise Men made a secret pact with the abbot of the monastery. In this pact, they established that the master key, which allows them to open houses on Three Kings' Night to deliver toys to children, would be kept within the ancient monastery. After Three Kings' Night, the key disappears from the box, and only the magic of children can make it reappear.
And this year's novelty is Operation Castaween, a family-friendly way to enjoy the Castañada festival in an original and mysterious way, without losing the essence of the classic tradition. The activity, which takes place on weekends until November 30th, combines games, tradition, and food in a fun and engaging way.
The activity lasts approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes.
