FIMAG, the International Magic Festival

From June 4 to 8, in Torroella de Montgrí

The Torroella de Montgrí International Magic Festival (FIMAG) is poised to become the largest family-friendly magic festival in Southern Europe. The festival, which stands out for its high-quality programming, transforms every corner of the town into a dream setting, offering surprising shows that will captivate both children and adults.

Catalan Music and Rumba Festival

From June 6 to 8, in Tossa de Mar

Rhythm and history will define the Tossa de Mar Catalan Music and Rumba Festival, which will thrill the whole family. Almond trees and climb to Vila Vella.

Portalblau Festival

From June 14 to August 10, in L'Escala

The Portalblau Festival is a celebration of music and cultural dialogue in the privileged setting of the tourist and fishing village of L'Escala. Music, performing arts, and thought intertwine between tradition and innovation, in perfect harmony with the Empordà landscape. Each year, the festival celebrates its diverse sound: from roots music to pop, rock, and singer-songwriters. The distinctive feature of this summer festival is the combination of an excellent program that includes music and other artistic disciplines such as circus and dance.

(a)phónica, the Voice Festival

From June 26 to 29, in Banyoles

Every year, the (a)phónica, the Banyoles Voice Festival, brings the magic of the voice to the Pla de l'Estany with surprising and unique offerings, including concerts and parallel activities that explore this instrument—the voice—from various angles. The festival's program encompasses different styles, artists, and ensembles, with distinctive voices—from the most established to the emerging. This year, the festival celebrates its 21st edition and will once again fill the city's most emblematic venues.

Figueres is a place

From July 2 to 6, in Figueres

The Figueres es Mou festival fills the capital of Alt Empordà with street performances, creative classes, exhibitions, and dance videos for all audiences. Nearly 80 professional artists from various dance companies will invade various spaces with their art.

Vallviva Festival

From July 9 to 13, in the Vall d'en Bas (Garrotxa)

The Vallviva Festival is a cultural and charitable event that unites nature, gastronomy, music, art, and culture. This year marks its fifth edition with a lineup that combines renowned international artists with emerging artists, as well as magic and painting performances. The festival stands out for its gastronomic offerings and its strong social commitment, with part of the proceeds donated to the Vall d'Hebron Hospital for cancer research.

Festival of San Pedro de Rodas

From July 12 to August 30, in Port de la Selva

The Benedictine monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes, in the heart of the Cap de Creus Natural Park, gives its name to this festival that combines music, heritage, and nature. The church, with its superb acoustics, hosts piano and chamber music concerts. Spiritual and folk music concerts are held at the Espai Port.

Cap Roig Festival

From July 12 to August 18, in Calella de Palafrugell

In one of the most important botanical gardens in the Mediterranean, the Cap Roig Festival offers a first-class musical program featuring major names in national and international music.

Sounds of the World Festival

From July 25th to August 10th, in Roses

The main ingredients of the Sons del Món Festival are popular music and wine. The program ranges from massive concerts in the Ciutadella de Roses or in front of the portal of the Castelló d'Empúries basilica to more intimate performances in local wineries. Oenology takes center stage at this festival, with the deliberate selection of a wine suitable for each performance.

Torroella de Montgrí Festival

From August 2 to 22, in Torroella de Montgrí

The Torroella de Montgrí Festival is a meeting point for the world's leading classical music artists—from orchestras to virtuoso soloists and legendary conductors. Spectators are immersed in sonic worlds, far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

This summer, the Costa Brava and the Girona Pyrenees will once again pulse to the rhythm of a successful cultural program. The entire region will be transformed into a vast open-air stage filled with music, dance, magic, and other artistic disciplines.
