Everything is ready for a new edition of Bizbarcelona, the trade fair that has become the essential meeting point for small and medium-sized businesses, local businesses, and self-employed individuals. On October 15 and 16, the Montjuïc exhibition center will be transformed into a space full of ideas, knowledge, and opportunities to rethink processes, identify trends, and learn new techniques to grow any business project.
Organized by Fira de Barcelona and promoted by Barcelona City Council through Barcelona Activa, the Barcelona Provincial Council, Pimec, the Barcelona Metropolitan Area, and the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, the trade fair will offer practical solutions to the everyday challenges of the business community, which is mainly made up of SMEs and micro-SMEs.

"SMEs and self-employed individuals are one of the main drivers of job and wealth creation in the city, but they often struggle to access resources that enable them to cope with the transformation of the economy and remain competitive," explains Raquel Gil, Councilor for Economic Promotion and Employment at Barcelona City Council and president of the fair. Bizbarcelona, adds Gil, "will once again be the place to receive the support, guidance, and guidance they need to find solutions that enable them to be viable, grow, and successfully navigate the digital and environmental transition."

In parallel to Bizbarcelona, the Employment Fair will be held at the Montjuïc venue, aimed at people actively seeking work, in a career transition, or who wish to reorient their career path.
The fair, promoted by Barcelona City Council through Barcelona Activa, will feature more than 160 activities (25% more than last year), including workshops, talks, demonstrations, and personalized counseling sessions for job placement and improving professional skills and abilities. The focus will be on new technologies such as AI and virtual reality applied to job searches.
The highlight of this year's edition will be initiatives aimed at efficiently connecting people actively seeking employment with organizations with vacancies. To this end, one hundred companies and organizations will offer more than 600 specific job opportunities and present sectors with high demand for talent, as well as the characteristics of the most sought-after profiles.
There will also be spaces dedicated to continuing education, application preparation, job inclusion and professional growth, and specific activities for young people over 45 and people with disabilities. The fair will also host a session on Thursday the 16th, in which experts will reflect on the challenges of generating inclusive, quality employment in the city.
