A woman died Thursday afternoon in a head-on collision between a car and a van at kilometer marker 766 of the N-II highway in Biure (Alt Empordà). The Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police) received the call about the accident shortly before 5:30 p.m. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
