A woman has been arrested for the murder of a man in Calella.
Everything indicates that they were not a couple and there had already been previous fights.
BarcelonaThe Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police) are investigating a new crime in Catalonia. This Tuesday afternoon, the emergency line received a call from a woman reporting that a man's body had been found in the apartment where she lived in Calella (Maresme). When officers arrived, they confirmed the body of a 69-year-old man. The 25-year-old woman was arrested at the same address.
According to sources consulted by ARA, everything indicates that the man and woman were roommates, but not a couple. Upon police arrival, the woman reportedly confessed to the crime during an argument with the man. In fact, the same sources indicate that there had been previous arguments, especially the night before, and that the man had attempted to sexually assault the woman on occasion. The detainee is believed to be a sex worker from the town who shared an apartment with the man.
Everything points to the crime being committed with a knife. The man was allegedly found tied to the bed and half-covered with plastic sheeting. The incident occurred at 355 Església Street in Calella, and Mossos d'Esquadra specialists have opened an investigation.
