ValenciaThe Valencian Generalitat has asked the citizenship to use face masks outdoors, although it is not mandatory, except for beaches and natural areas. This has been said by the head of the Consell, Ximo Puig, who has appeared after the meeting of the Interdepartmental Bureau for Prevention and Action against Coronavirus, accompanied by the Councillor for Universal Health and Public Health, Ana Barceló. "We think it is good that the face mask continues to be used", said Puig. In order to urge the public to be as cautious as possible, the Consell has published a guide to insist on the importance of ventilation in enclosed spaces.

The Valencian government has decided to extend for fifteen days, until 15 July, the restrictions that came into force on 8 June, given the increase in cases recorded in recent days - 956 positive cases over the weekend. The curfew will therefore be lifted and nightlife will remain open. The closing time for pubs and clubs is also maintained at 2 am, although dancing is not allowed and the capacity of indoor spaces is limited to 50%. Bars and restaurants can stay open until 1 p.m., with a maximum of ten diners per table and indoor seating limited to 50%.

As for the immunisation campaign, Puig announced that the Consell is bringing forward by twelve days the vaccination of young people aged 30 to 39, which will begin next week.
