Three arrested for assaulting a controversial anti-immigration YouTuber in L'Hospitalet

BarcelonaThe Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested three young people, one of them a minor, for having attacked a controversial YouTuber in Hospitalet de Llobregat. The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon, when content creator Jan2030sinmiedo announced he would be filming in the Florida neighborhood of this town. In his videos, he often films himself walking through towns in the metropolitan area, denouncing the presence of foreigners and even spraying people with tear gas, calling them thieves and "contributors," among other insults.
Police sources explain that this YouTuber He had previously announced that he would be recording in the Florida neighborhood, and that already made some young people prepare. The entire sequence was recorded on his channel, with 1,000 people watching it live: the fight began as an exchange of insults and ended up getting into his hands, with the YouTuber running down the street while some young people threw glass and rocks at him. Every time one of them came close, Jan2030sinmiedo responded by spraying them with pepper spray.
Finally, the YouTuber He was hit on the head with an iron rod, according to police sources, and ended up having to be treated by the Medical Emergency System (SEM). At that moment, the Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police) arrived at the scene and began searching for those involved in the attack. That same afternoon, they arrested three young people for these events, although the investigation is not closed and they are still looking for more people.
In fact, police sources do not rule out that the YouTuber may also end up being held accountable for these acts, especially for spraying people with a supposedly prohibited weapon. For now, everything is pending whether someone will file a complaint against him. Jan2030sinmiedo is a content creator who always appears with his face covered and has also participated in several podcasts denouncing an increase in street violence linked to immigration. Recently, his behavior ended up provoking a confrontation in Barcelona's Plaça de Catalunya, in which the Guardia Urbana had to intervene.
