BarcelonaThird case of a African swine fever (ASF) positive outside the On the other hand, the Government has begun to sanction people who violate the restrictions on access to the natural environment in the high-risk zone. Since the sanctions began, nine fine proceedings have been opened.
This Wednesday Ordeig also explained that the Government has activated an emergency contract of 7 million euros to reinforce the device against ASF. In this way, 170 new personnel will be incorporated –40 will start working next week on the ground–, 57 new traps and 51 all-terrain vehicles.
19 municipalities with restrictions
With Castellbisbal, there are now 19 municipalities where restrictions are applied to the natural environment to prevent the spread of ASF in Catalonia: Badia del Vallès, Barberà del Vallès, Cerdanyola del Vallès, el Papiol, Molins de Rei, Sant Feliu de Llobregat, Montcada i Reixac, Polinyà, Ripollet, Rubí, Sabadell, Sant Cugat del Vallès, Sant Quirze del Vallès, Santa Perpètua de Mogoda, Terrassa, Sant Just Desvern, Esplugues de Llobregat, the Barcelona enclave, and access to the Collserola Natural Park.
