The 45-year-old man is in pretrial detention for repeatedly raping the girl, recording the sexual assaults and distributing the images, as well as contacting other men online and offering to assault her and other minors. The accusations indicate that the young woman was the victim of repeated rapes by this man and others between May 2020 and October 2021, when she was between 12 and 14 years old.

The assaults allegedly took place in the electrician's apartment in Barcelona, ​​​​taking advantage of the moments when the girl escaped from the center where she was under the care of the DGAIA. Now the minor accuses the man of having taken advantage of her "situation of clear vulnerability" on a "personal, family, school and administrative" level with a "lascivious spirit."

The private prosecution's brief describes the sexual assaults she suffered after the prime suspect in this pedophile ring contacted her for the first time through the Badoo app. They arranged a meeting, and from then on, whenever she escaped from the DGAIA center, the defendant "forced" her to have sex, "taking advantage of her clearly vulnerable situation."

In addition to sexually assaulting her, the pedophile convinced her to record it and then shared the images on social media and messaging platforms. Starting in November 2020, the indictment states, the leader of the pedophile ring went a step further and began using the minor as a "lure," offering her to third parties on social media for group sex. To this end, he created a fake profile of the girl in which she appeared in her underwear.

The private prosecution claims he wanted to see other men sexually assault the victim. He recorded the rapes with his cell phone, and the investigation has collected at least twenty videos in which the defendant appears giving instructions to third parties to record the video as he desired. In total, the defendant allegedly arranged at least nine meetings with other men at his home to rape the young woman, although one of them refused to have sex because he was aware of the victim's age.
