MadridThe Pope will visit Brians 1 prison, located in Sant Esteve Sesrovires, on his official trip to Spain. It will be on Wednesday, June 10 in the morning on the second day of Leo XIV in Catalonia. The Spanish Episcopal Conference presented the Pope's agenda this Wednesday, who will be in Spain from June 6 to 12. His first stop will be Madrid and, secondly, on Tuesday, June 9, he will travel to Barcelona. The arrival at El Prat airport will be at 12:25 PM and from there he will go to the Barcelona cathedral for an hour and a half prayer that will begin at 1:00 PM. The next public stop will be at 8:00 PM in the Olympic stadium for a prayer vigil.
The next day he will visit Brians 1 prison, at 10:50 AM. "It is the world of pain and deprivation of liberty, very present in the Church," explained the cardinal of Barcelona, Juan José Omella. Subsequently, at 12:00 PM, Leo XIV will be in Montserrat where he will lead a prayer in the Abbey and, at 1:00 PM, he will have lunch with the Benedictine community. At 4:30 PM he will hold a meeting with "the realities of diocesan charity and assistance" at the Church of Sant Agustí, in El Raval. At 7:30 PM he will hold a mass at the Sagrada Familia and inaugurate the tower of Jesus Christ. On Thursday, June 11, he will depart for Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
In Madrid, Leo XIV will hold meetings with the King and Queen of Spain, with the Spanish president, Pedro Sánchez, and will also be at Congress, where on Monday, June 8, he will deliver a speech to the parliamentarians.
