The correfocs (and the 'quiet night') return to the Gràcia Festival.
This year's edition will be held from August 15 to 21, and the opening speaker will be writer Maria Garganté.

BarcelonaThe Gràcia residents' festival committees have been working for months at their local venues to decorate the streets and squares of Vila de Gràcia for the neighborhood's main festival. This year's edition will be held between August 15 and 21, and more than a hundred activities have already been scheduled, including concerts, popular culture events, exhibitions, and workshops. Furthermore, the confrontation between the Colla Vella de Diablos de Gracia and the Coordinadora de Colles de Cultura de Gracia, which last year shut down the festival, is now a distant memory. without the traditional correfoc, which is being revived this year, both for children and adults. The full program will be announced on August 8th.
What is known is that up to 23 streets will participate in the traditional decoration competition. The awards ceremony for the best-decorated streets will be, as last year, after the weekend, on Tuesday the 19th at 6:00 p.m. in the Plaza de la Vila to avoid crowds of visitors. In addition, a quiet, low-noise evening will once again be held on August 18th. These two measures—which aim to improve coexistence between neighbors and visitors- were already carried out as a pilot test in the previous edition, and have now been consolidated thanks to their "success," according to a statement from Barcelona City Council. The organizers state that it is a "proud" to have her participation because Garganté has positioned herself as a "reference author in the field of the study of festivals and popular culture" following the publication of the book. You shall keep holy the feasts.

Thus, the purple point in the Plaça de la Revolucion will be back in operation, offering advice, information and support to deal with possible situations of sexist and LGBTI-phobic abuse or aggression, and safe routes will also be established by the police forces.
Regarding mobility in the area, the Barcelona metro will operate uninterruptedly on two consecutive nights, from Friday the 15th at 5 a.m. until Sunday the 17th at midnight, and one-way auxiliary devices will be installed in the streets where they are it concentrates more people To facilitate traffic.
