The Bofill Foundation estimates that there is a shortage of a thousand educators to serve vulnerable students.

The Bofill Foundation has denounced the fact that Catalonia has only one social worker or educator for nearly a thousand students with special needs, a ratio it considers "unmanageable." The organization estimates that a total of 702 social workers and 357 educators are needed to improve student integration.
