The Barça parade: blocked streets and diverted bus lines
Public transport affected will be reinforced with more staff at metro stations near the route
BarcelonaThe Barcelona League title celebration parade will force the rerouting of about thirty bus lines that normally run along the established route. After winning Sunday's match against Real Madrid, the procession will set off this Monday at 5 p.m. from Spotify Camp Nou and will pass through the most emblematic points of the Catalan capital. The caravan will affect mobility in Ciutat Vella, Eixample, and Les Corts, as there will be street closures and about thirty bus lines will be diverted from their usual route.
The procession will leave from Camp Nou, pass through Travessera de les Corts and continue through Numància, Berlin, Paris, Balmes, Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes streets and will reach Passeig de Gràcia. From there, the return journey to the Barça stadium will begin, passing through Provença, Aribau and Londres streets, Sarrià avenue, Travessera de les Corts again and Aristides Maillol street.
Lines affected and alternatives by metro
Among the bus lines affected by the diversions will be those that run through the closed streets, as well as those that cross them perpendicularly. These are D20, D40, D50, H8, H10, H12, H16, V1, V3, V5, V7, V9, V11, V13, X1, X3, 6, 7, 19, 22, 24, 27, 52, 54, 55, 59, 63, 67, 68, 70, 78, 113, 157, and 175. In addition, the blue and red routes of the Barcelona Bus Turístic will also be affected.
Given the TMB bus diversions, Barcelona City Council has recommended that both club fans wishing to attend the celebration, and the general public, use the metro or walk, and avoid using private vehicles. For this reason, TMB has announced that it will reinforce those metro stations along the route with more staff to regulate passenger flow.
The closest stations to the area where the parade will pass are Badal (L5), Collblanc (L5), Palau Reial (L3), Maria Cristina (L3), Les Corts (L3), Passeig de Gràcia (L2, L3, and L4), Entença (L5), Hospital Clínic (L5), Diagonal (L3 and L5), Universitat (L1 and L2), Catalunya (L1 and L3), and Urquinaona (L1 and L4).
The Barcelona City Police will be carrying out the corresponding traffic diversions as the parade progresses and, along with the Mossos d'Esquadra, will be deployed to ensure the safety of the event.
