One of the critically injured in the shooting in Mollet del Vallès dies.
Two other people were seriously injured.
BarcelonaOne of the critically injured in the shooting in a park in Mollet del Vallès died in hospital, the Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police) reported this Sunday. The incident occurred this Saturday at around 12:30 a.m. in the Parc de Colors, in an area very close to the Mollet hospital, when three people were injured by firearms.
Three Mossos d'Esquadra units and three local police units were dispatched to the scene of the incident. Access and exit controls were carried out both in Mollet and in neighboring towns in an attempt to find the attackers, but no one has been arrested so far. The investigation remains open.
According to initial reports, the perpetrators, who were riding a motorcycle, opened fire on a group of people who were sitting in the area and fled in the same vehicle. The Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) of the Northern Metropolitan Region has taken charge of the case, and according to police sources, given the nature of the attack, it could be a case of revenge.
The Mollet del Vallès City Council has "firmly" condemned the incident.
