A second earthquake shakes Granada

BarcelonaSecond earthquake in Granada in three days. A strong earthquake has once again shaken the metropolitan area of the city this Tuesday. The tremor occurred around 10:37 AM and was also felt in other parts of Andalusia, including Almeria. According to the first provisional measurement by the National Geographic Institute (IGN), the seismic movement reached a magnitude of 4.6 on the Richter scale.
The revised measurement points to a shallow earthquake, magnitude 4.7, with its epicenter in Gójar, which would be the second most intense earthquake since the beginning of the seismic episode last Friday the 14th, which registered the largest tremor, 4.8, in Alhendí.
Emergency services and responsible agencies are monitoring seismic activity in the area. Residents have primarily felt tremors from the walls and ceilings of buildings for several seconds.
