One in every five social housing units in Barcelona is located in Ciutat Vella.

Ciutat Vella (Old City) accounts for 19.5% of Barcelona's public housing stock, according to the latest housing report. The study shows that this area of the city is home to 6.8% of the population, and the number of new homes completed in the last nine years represents 0.39% of all new construction in Barcelona.
