Nearly 90% of families have found the public school or institute they had requested as their first choice.

According to data released by the Department of Education, 91.5% of students in Year 3 and 89.6% of students in Year 1 of Compulsory Secondary Education have been admitted to the public school their family had requested as their first choice. Last year, the percentages were 90.7% and 89.2%, respectively.
