BarcelonaThe rapper Morad's half-brother has been admitted to the Can Llupià juvenile detention center in Barcelona following two knife attacks during the Molins de Rei festival in Baix Llobregat this weekend. This is the decision taken by the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office after the Molins de Rei Urban Police arrested her early Sunday morning.
According to sources with access to the case, Morad's half-brother and a friend of his, who is also a minor and has not been admitted to the center, allegedly attacked at least two boys during the festivities. The sources specifically refer to "gratuitous violence." They allegedly used a knife to cut at least two young men's faces and drew what is popularly known as the "Joker smile." That is, a cut that runs from the lip to the ear, simulating the face of the Batman antagonist. One of these cases has already been reported, so Morad's half-brother has been taken to a juvenile detention center, and the police are investigating the other case. The victims were hospitalized.
The Mossos d'Esquadra are also investigating whether these events are part of two violent robberies. In any case, the same sources say the victims did not resist, and therefore the cuts to their faces were considered gratuitous violence. Nor was there any prior fight or argument. The two detainees were performing near the station, and the incident occurred around 2:00 a.m., when the main events of the festival had already ended and the public had dispersed. That day, the Mossos d'Esquadra deployed a unit with the Guardia Urbana (Urban Guard) and made thirteen arrests, eight of them for violent robberies.
