BarcelonaBarcelona will be the starting point for the ActxPalestine campaign, a call to guarantee humanitarian aid, the reconstruction of Gaza, and an end to Israeli impunity, promoted by leading Palestinian organizations, including the Palestinian NGO Network, PNGO, Al Haq, and the Palestinian Center for Human Rights. The starting gun will be fired on November 14 and 15, when the city will host the Unsilence Forum and the official launch of the campaign, which brings together Palestinian organizations and human rights bodies from around the world. The objective, according to the promoters, is to "activate a transversal and sustained mobilization" that combines political pressure, cultural action, and humanitarian support.

The campaign, which follows the signing of the ceasefire agreement based on Donald Trump's plan, aims to "intensify pressure, now that the global mobilization has achieved a ceasefire, to end 77 years of employment, apartheid, and human rights violations in Palestine." The promoters defend that "aid and reconstruction must be led by Palestinian society" and claim that Barcelona is the ideal setting for its history of struggles and resistance, which include the exemplary response to the genocide in Bosnia and the siege of Sarajevo, up to the global leadership of the No to War movement. Welcome.

The central launch event will feature representatives and spokespersons of Palestinian organizations, leading figures from the international arena and musical performances. In addition, the audiovisual piece will be presented Who will be the watershed? Created by the British group Massive Attack, it seeks to appeal to the role of artists and citizens as agents of change and draw a parallel with the international mobilization against apartheid in South Africa. The Unsilence Forum, a gathering of social movements, academics, and creators from different countries aimed at generating shared strategies, will be held in the days leading up to the event. Sessions will address the intersection of culture, politics, and human rights, with lectures, workshops, and exhibitions.

The program also includes a match between the Catalan and Palestinian national teams on November 18 at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, in tribute to the more than 400 Palestinian footballers and referees who have died since the beginning of the conflict. The event aims to reclaim sport as a symbolic space for dialogue and peace, in line with the 1936 People's Olympics and the 2017 We Want to Welcome movement.

The initiative will culminate with a manifesto-concert on January 29 at the Palau Sant Jordi, which will bring together international and Palestinian artists, placing Palestine at the center of global cultural debate. The participating artists have not yet been announced, but the funds raised will be used to support and strengthen cultural institutions and projects in Palestine.

ActxPalestine is supported by a broad network of organizations—including EuroMed Rights, the International Peace Bureau, Greenpeace, and the Global Movement to Gaza—and presents itself as a decentralized and open movement.
