Man sought for raping a girl in a wooded area of Vidreres
The victim had gone out to do sports and the perpetrator threatened them with a sharp object
BarcelonaThe Mossos d'Esquadra are investigating the rape suffered by a young woman last Saturday in Vidreres, in the Selva region. The complainant, about 22 years old, had gone out to exercise in a wooded area of the Aiguaviva Parc residential area. In this area, a man sexually assaulted her with penetration, as reported by El País and confirmed by l'ARA. According to sources consulted by this newspaper, the victim and the perpetrator did not know each other and the man was carrying some kind of sharp object in his hands at the time of the events. At the moment, the Mossos have not made any arrests and are searching for the attacker.
The Mossos became aware of the events after a call to 112 and the victim was taken to a hospital. The Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) has taken charge of the investigation and is working to identify and arrest the suspect.
