A man has been arrested in Madrid for broadcasting live how he sexually assaulted his minor daughter.
The man, who is already in prison, received virtual coins in return, which could be exchanged for gifts.
BarcelonaThe National Police reported on Friday the arrest in Madrid of a man for broadcasting, via a live streaming application, the sexual assaults he committed against his minor daughter. The arrest of the individual, who is now in prison, took place in December, after a citizen alerted the police a month earlier through an email address set up to report child pornography. Investigators from the Central Cybercrime Unit confirmed that the detainee used private rooms on live streaming applications to attract interested users by showing photos of himself with his daughter in bed. Subsequently, on another application, he broadcast live the assaults he committed against his own minor daughter. The payment the arrested man received for connecting with these pedophiles was virtual currency redeemable on the website for gifts or improved search engine ranking.
Once he was brought before the court as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of corruption of minors consisting of the production, possession, and distribution of child pornography and sexual assault, his immediate imprisonment was ordered.
The National Police reminds the public that they have the email address denuncias.pornografia.infantil@policia.es with the aim of involving citizens in the fight against child pornography in an anonymous and confidential manner. In the last two years, this channel has received more than 5,000 messages.
