The incident occurred on February 19 at a health center in the Eixample district. The man allegedly filmed a nine-year-old girl while she was in the bathroom. The girl was partially undressed. The Catalan police have arrested the man, a 23-year-old with no prior criminal record. The investigation is ongoing, and his background is being examined. They are investigating whether the man is employed by a daycare center or summer camp. This suggests he works with minors, although he was not an employee of the health center. The man was arrested on March 4 after the girl's family filed a complaint and the police were able to identify the main suspect.
When asked about this case, the Catalan Health Department, which is responsible for the center where the events took place, simply stated that the matter is in the hands of the justice system and declined to comment further. The Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police) are also investigating whether the perpetrator has committed similar acts and whether he has more content involving minors on his mobile phone.
