BarcelonaNighttime itineraries through different bars or entertainment venues They have been banned since 2012 in the Ciutat Vella district. With fines of up to 900 euros for those who organize them and participating establishments, pub crawling has continued to spread in Barcelona, both in other areas of the city and at other times outside the banned period and beyond the summer months. Last year, the City Council already moved to extend the ban on these nighttime routes in the Eixample district, and is now preparing a regulation to ban them throughout Barcelona and 24 hours a day.

The council has already approved a decree with which it hopes to "guarantee citizen coexistence, neighborhood rest, and public health." The decree that will prohibit the promotion, organization, sale, or implementation of these routes has already been approved in advance, and a public information period of 20 business days begins now. Once the objections raised have been addressed, the City Council will definitively approve the decree, and it will be valid for four years.
