Five men arrested in Girona for paying three 15-year-old girls for sex

BarcelonaThe Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested five men for paying money in exchange for sex with three minors under 15 years old. As sources close to the investigation have explained to ARA, the payments in exchange for sex were not occasional, but habitual. The same sources add that, initially, there is no relationship between the men involved, but rather the link would be between the girls, who knew each other. The arrestees are between 31 and 46 years old, and three of them have been remanded in custody for these facts.

The first arrests in this case were made on May 28 and June 10, for events that the investigation places between September and December 2025. Once arrested, the two men were brought before the courts in different courts, depending on which one was on duty at the time of the arrest. A separate case was also opened for each of the men, even though the victims in all cases are the same three girls. All three were 15 years old at the time of the events and, therefore, were below the legal age of sexual consent, 16 years old. This is why they are charged with a crime of sexual assault on minors under 16 years old.

The first arrestees were 35 and 44 years old, and once both were arrested, they were remanded in custody for the crimes of sexual assault on minors and for prostitution and sexual exploitation, as reported by the Diari de Girona. After these two arrests, the Mossos d'Esquadra of Girona continued investigating until they identified three more suspects, aged 31, 44, and 46, with the same victims involved. These new suspects were arrested on June 19 and 21. One of them, the 44-year-old, has been remanded in custody and had a criminal record for other cases.

The youngest detainee, 31 years old, works as an access controller in a nightclub in the city of Girona. In his case, he has been released on bail. According to sources close to the investigation, the suspect demanded sexual services from the girls in exchange for entering the venue. In contrast, the rest of the men arrested for this case would not be related to the venue.
