Hair fibers suffer greatly during the summer: solar radiation dries out and discolors hair, and sea and pool water don't help either. Although Neus Garcia, manager of Neus Hair Salon in Badalona, recommends preventing the negative effects by protecting and hydrating your hair properly, and avoiding the use of hairdryers, flat irons, or curling irons during the summer, she offers some tips to recover your usual tone once this period is over.

"If you have dyed or highlighted hair, the first thing is to color it as usual. A modern dye is full of components and oils that already do half the work," she assures. She also recommends washing with acidic shampoo to seal the fiber, especially on blonde hair and hair with highlights, so that the hair's pH returns to its original properties. If the hair is very weakened, she recommends applying a mask rich in active ingredients based on proteins or amino acids; If you want to restore shine and softness, she recommends one containing oils like argan oil or flax oil. The mask helps repair the hair fiber internally, and the conditioner works externally to help the hair reflect more light.

She then explains that it's necessary to apply conditioner or conditioner to make the hair more combable. "Finally, once the hair is dry, you can apply a few drops of argan oil, marula oil, or flax oil to make it shine more and protect it from the heat of hairdryers and daily sunlight," she concludes.
