Cloisters too unstable

This Monday marks the long-awaited return to school, and in this dossier, we focus on one of the issues that most concerns teachers: one-third of teachers change schools each year. This is a recurring problem that school principals and families have long been warned about, as high teacher turnover makes it difficult to maintain a stable staff that guarantees the success of each school's educational projects. In this dossier, we provide figures to measure this instability in the public education system. We also ask to what extent schools and principals should have more decision-making power when selecting their teachers, seeking answers to how this is done in other parts of the country and around the world.
