Catalonia reaches 3 million covid-19 vaccinees

Over 3 million people have received at least one dose of a covid-19 vaccine in Catalonia. This figure that represents 38.5% of the total population and 45.3% of the population over 16 years of age. Specifically, 3,013,982 first doses have already been administered, according to the balance published this Sunday by the Department of Health. In the last 24 hours 26,149 first doses and 58,623 second doses have been administered. Thus, a total of 1,765,461 people have received full schedule, representing 22.6% of the total population and 26.5% of the population over 16 years.

Pandemic indicators improve

According to health data, this Sunday there are 590 covid-19 patients in Catalan hospitals (3 fewer than yesterday), of which 205 are in ICU (15 fewer than yesterday). There have been 534 infections and no deaths according to provisional data, which will have to be updated and confirmed in the coming days. As for the rest of the pandemic indicators, they continue to improve, albeit slightly: Effective Potential Growth is down 43 points (it now stands at 105 points) and Rt, albeit remaining above 1, is down one hundredth of a point (1.03).
