A broken-down train causes delays of more than 30 minutes on the commuter and regional lines of the southern corridor

BarcelonaLines R13, R14, R15, R16 and R17 of Rodalies are accumulating delays that may exceed 30 minutes since Monday morning due to a technical incident between Sitges and Garraf stations. The disruption originated from a train breakdown, which was stopped until passengers were transferred to another train. Once the transfer was completed, the train was able to resume service. In addition, Rodalies also reported an infrastructure incident on this same stretch. Although the forecast was to gradually recover schedules throughout the morning, the affected lines continue to not return to normal, and at 3 PM in the afternoon, delays of more than half an hour are still maintained.

High-speed rail traffic restored between Camp de Tarragona and La Pobla de Montornès

Another of the notable railway incidents this Monday was the suspension of high-speed train traffic between Camp de Tarragona and Pobla de Montornès, following a fire next to the tracks. Adif has reported that the service on the Barcelona-Madrid line is being progressively restored, while the Firefighters continue to work with four units to extinguish the last hot spots of the fire.

Service restored on R2 Nord, R2 and R11 between Sant Andreu and Montcada i Reixac

The positive note of the day comes from Vallbona, in Barcelona. After days of intense work, lines R2 Nord, R2, and R11 have fully resumed service this Monday after the disruptions caused by the sinkhole between Sant Andreu and Montcada i Reixac, which had prevented rail traffic since Wednesday midday. To fill the large hole, 17 meters deep and 19 meters in diameter, 320 trucks loaded with concrete and mortar were needed.
