A body has been found in the area where a woman disappeared during Storm Leonardo.

Emergency services found a body this Friday in Sayalonga (Málaga), in the same area where a woman disappeared on Wednesday after falling into the river while trying to save her dog during the storm. LeonardoSources from the Civil Guard have explained to EFE that they believe the body is that of the missing woman, but that she has not yet been identified. The body was found about 1,000 meters from where the woman was last seen. She fell into the Turvilla River while trying to rescue her dog while walking with a friend, who raised the alarm. This Friday, Spanish President Pedro Sánchez visited Andalusia, the region most affected by the storm. LeonardoSánchez called for prudence and calm in the face of the storms, and warned that more "complex" days are ahead as a new front approaches. Speaking from San Roque, at the Cádiz emergency control center, he asked citizens to stay informed through emergency services and heed the advice of public authorities: "This is how we can guarantee safety," he said.
