Barcelona will create a lane for cars on Diagonal, between Glòries and the Fòrum, to unload bikes on the road

Barcelona City Council has announced that between now and 2027 it will work on more than 42 km of cycle lanes to improve connectivity between neighbourhoods. This involves, above all, creating new lanes to link existing ones and lowering those that still run along the pavements onto the road.
