Barcelona has identified for the first time the presence of the red-eyed green butterfly

Barcelona has identified the presence of the reddish-brown hairstreak butterfly (Callophrys avis) for the first time. The discovery was made a few weeks ago as part of Barcelona's urban butterfly monitoring program, the uBMS observatory, during a survey in the Horta Labyrinth Park.
