Barcelona closes with a surplus for the second consecutive year

Barcelona City Council closed 2024 with a €45.2 million surplus. This is the second consecutive year, after the impact of COVID-19 in 2022, 2021, and 2020 meant closing academic years with a deficit. In 2024, 93.4% of the budget and 84% of the investment were executed.
