The Barcelona City Council has approved a motion to expedite the processing of a Special Urban Development Plan to regulate the establishment and operation of 24-hour supermarkets in the city. The proposal, presented by Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya (ERC), was approved with votes in favor from the governing coalition, Junts per Catalunya, Barcelona en Comú, and ERC, and an abstention from the People's Party (PP).
