Mishima completed their first Olympic cycle of La Nit de les Roses this Wednesday. Eight years later, the novel has become an editorial phenomenon and has gone beyond the literary field: Espai Texas is premiering the theatrical adaptation of the book directed by Victoria Szpunberg and starring Maria Rodríguez Soto. The show is a co-production by Dagoll Dagom – the company's latest – and Barc, and can be seen until June 28. Permagel recounts the story of a woman attached to reading and sex who, through her thoughts and reality, delves into lesbian desire, suicide, and motherhood. "It's an uncomfortable comedy, an unclassifiable work. It has a lucid and playful pessimism at the same time and contains high doses of pain that connect with our present," states Szpunberg.

Fish, the fifth novel that Eva Baltasar (Barcelona, ​​1978), published by Club Editor, tells the passionate yet destructive love story of two women. The first is a writer who narrates her journey of fascination, anguish, fear, and escape from her lover. The second, named Victoria, sells paper cones of fish at street markets and lives in a house reminiscent of those Gothic mansions where anything is possible. The novel Permagel (Club Editor, 2018) by Eva Baltasar It will be a play directed by Victoria Szpunberg and starring Maria Rodríguez Soto. This is the big bet of the season at Espai Texas, a show that Szpunberg herself will adapt with Albert Pijuan and that will premiere on April 8. "I'm very happy and very curious. I'm releasing the protagonist of Permagel, I want to see what things of his I still don't know and I will discover", Baltasar said during the presentation of the Texas season. Published in 2018, the novel became a literary phenomenon and won awards such as the Librero and the Ojo Crítico narrative prize.
