A judge in Terrassa has sentenced a businessman to two and a half years in prison for the death of an employee, a truck driver, whose tire burst while he was driving on the highway, causing him to lose control and crash into a sign, resulting in his death. According to the sentence, the cause of the accident was the poor condition of the vehicle's tires.

Workplace accidents have soared in the first seven months of the year, with 52 fatalities in Catalonia, 44.4% more than in the same period last year, when there were 36. Accidents—which include minor and serious accidents—are expected to decrease. It should be noted that these figures must be added to those from August, among which one stands out.
