He was carrying a bag containing a suit and, undoubtedly, many hopes. Burnham appeared surrounded by journalists, and all sorts of passers-by pointed their mobile phones at him. He was escorted by a pair of police officers; however, he was accompanied by some of his female advisors. He did not shy away from the attention, nor could he avoid the nerves. To such an extent that he declared to the BBC cameras that he was going down to London to take possession of the mayor's office. "I said as mayor; I mean as a Member of Parliament." A slip of the tongue.

These are record numbers in the country's history, which has already seen five prime ministers change office in less than two years. What will happen now? Why do heads of government end up leaving office? What options does President Emmanuel Macron have?

Carney wants to take advantage of the favorable polls. The Canadian public broadcaster, CBC, gives his Liberal Party (PL) a 37.5% voter turnout, which would give it 174 of the 338 seats in the House of Commons. If he succeeds, it would be the party's fourth consecutive victory.
