This was the Manifesto Concert for Palestine, which brought together 12,000 people (all seated) at the Palau Sant Jordi this Thursday, and featured musicians such as Amaia, Bad Gyal, Luis Llach, Lina Mankoul, Alguer Miquel, Morad, Fermín Muguruza, Muskaa, Oques Tijoux, and Tinariwen, among others. "Thank you so much, Barcelona, Catalonia," said the lead singer of the Palestinian group Sol Band, which opened the event at 7:30. It was a gesture of gratitude for the mobilization achieved by the Act x Palestine campaign, "a collective appeal that, through music, words, art, and image, reclaims culture as a space of resistance and awareness, linking the reality of Palestine with the great struggles of our time," as stated in its founding manifesto. Therefore, all proceeds from the concert will go to support various Palestinian cultural spaces. The concert, incidentally, took place the same week that the Israeli army acknowledged killing [number of Palestinians]. More than 71,000 people in Gaza since October 2023Gazan activist Kayed Hammad, in conversation with actor Eduard Fernández, explained what life is like in Gaza, the land he had to leave a few months ago. "There are no houses, there are tents that offer no protection from the cold or the heat, or from drones. There isn't a single square meter of safety in Gaza, and when the sun sets, people are left among the rubble with their families," said Hammad, sitting with Fernández on a stage designed like a Mediterranean square, with musicians.

The event, conceived as a musical celebration open to all audiences, drew a large and diverse crowd. For the past four years, this event has combined popular music with a symphonic format, coinciding with the Christmas holidays. Once again, the success of this Christmas event filled the Pau Casals Hall to enjoy the best melodies from the cinematic universe, timeless classics, and the best of pop culture.

He managed to fill the Palau Sant Jordi with more than 16,000 people and the Palacio Vistalegre in Madrid with more than 11,000 spectators. Legends like Joan Manel Serrat and Lluís Llach are among the few soloists to have filled the Sant Jordi with Catalan. This October 28th, a documentary about the Catalan musician born in Sant Feliu de Llobregat premieres on Filmin. It reviews his story and explains what it was like to fill these two great venues.

The singer from Granada cannot be denied the desire to offer a concert that represents a considerable leap in scale from what one would expect from a Spanish pop artist: two and a half hours of performance, flame cannons, fireworks, inflatable balls, a giant screen, stage changes, and basketball players of the caliber of fifty. And at the front was a dedicated, exhilarated, and very emotional Lola Indigo, who ended up asking "forgiveness for crying so many times" during the concert. No apologies were necessary because it was her big party, an epic and excessive celebration that, for one night, made her the queen of Spanish pop.

Until now all cultural activities, both indoors and outdoors, were only allowed with the public seated. This is what is stated in the measures approved by Procicat and currently in force. But this Tuesday the Government has announced that cultural activities will be allowed with the public standing. That is, instead of restrictions, more things will be allowed. So, how are the cultural activities?

The results of the pilot test at the Love of Lesbian concert at the Palau Sant Jordi conclude that, if carried out with control measures such as those implemented in this event, mass concerts "are a safe activity". This was stated by Dr Josep Maria Llibre, one of the researchers at the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital who led the experiment. A posteriori, we have diagnosed only six positive cases among the participants of the concerts, of which four were not infected at the concert," explained Llibre. This result is equivalent to a rate of 131 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and is a magnificent result"

The Palau Sant Jordi will host on March 27 a Love of Lesbian concert for 5,000 people, with everyone standing and wearing a mask, but without safety distance. This is a test similar to the one held at the Sala Apolo in December, but designed for large events; therefore, with antigen tests on the same day of the concert. In fact, this trial involves the Fundació de la Lluita contra la Sida (Fight Against AIDS Foundation) and the Germans Trias Hospital, who also supervised the Apolo rehearsal. The event, baptized as Festivals for Safe Culture, has the authorization of the Department of Health, a support made explicit by the Minister Alba Vergés with her presence at a press conference held this Friday in Montjuïc. "Today we start the comeback", said Jordi Herreruela, director of the Cruïlla Festival. Tickets have sold out in a matter of hours on the website festivalsperlaculturasegura.com.

That was on 29 February 2020 and they were accompanied by a luxury guest, Enrique Bunbury. Then the speakers played Man on the moon while the audience was leaving and, after that, eleven and a half months of silence. Now, the Guitar Bcn Festival wants to reopen the Sant Jordi with a Carlos Sadness concert on March 20, one of the highlights of a programme presented on Thursday at the Sala Barts in an act in which Joan Roselló, CEO of promoter The Project and director of the festival, defended presential culture and has asked the Procicat to withdraw the cap of 1,000 spectators for the Palau Sant Jordi. "If the Sant Jordi Club, the Liceu or the Palau de la Música can hold concerts for 1,000 people, why not more than 1,000 at the Palau Sant Jordi, which is three, five or eight times bigger and is taller and has more doors? We want to hold a concert for 3,500 people keeping a safe distance, wearing masks and whatever else is needed".
