The president of the Almería Provincial Council has been arrested for irregular purchases of face masks.

The Central Operational Unit of the Civil Guard has arrested the president of the Almería Provincial Council, Javier Aureliano García; its vice president, Fernando Giménez; and the mayor of Fines (Almería), Rodrigo Sánchez. The three PP officials were being investigated for irregular purchases of face masks.
