A judge has ordered the arrest of the ultra agitator Vito Quiles, as legal sources informed Efe and the Ministry of the Interior confirmed to ARA. He himself announced it through his X account this Wednesday. The order, however, could not be executed because Quiles could not be located at his workplace, the headquarters of the YouTube channel EDA TV.

According to Quiles, the arrest would be linked to the incident he had with Begoña Gómez, the wife of the Spanish prime minister, on April 29. As Gómez already reported, the agitator showed up at a cafe where she was with some friends and adopted an attitude that she defined as “harassment”.

Quiles considers the judge's order the result of a "massive denunciation campaign by Sánchez's circle", and stated that the Spanish government "uses justice to pursue its rivals without reason".

Open criminal cases

Vito Quiles has, at least, an open criminal case for appearing at the home of the president of the company Red Eléctrica, Beatriz Corredor, and stating in a video that she was not assuming her responsibilities after the blackout of April 2025. However, it is not clear under what procedure his arrest has been ordered. Other cases also came to public attention, such as the alleged assault against political analyst Sarah Santaolalla. However, in both cases, the cases have been provisionally dismissed.

Sources from the law firm Ospina Abogados, which represents Quiles, have assured Efe that they have no official record of this arrest warrant, but they know that the police have gone to the agitator's workplace to arrest him. The firm has stated that Quiles is at his home and plans to go to a police station tomorrow to clarify the matter.
